Nick Gordon arrested for speeding

Whitney Houston's 'adopted' son Nick Gordon was taken into custody in Alpharetta, Georgia on Wednesday (28.11.12) after being caught speeding through the town.

Nick Gordon has been arrested for speeding and reckless driving.

The 'adopted' son of Whitney Houston, who recently called off his engagement to Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, was taken into custody in Alpharetta, Georgia on Wednesday (28.11.12) after being caught speeding through the town.

A law enforcement source told gossip website TMZ: ''We are fortunate because that's such a busy corridor with high end retail shopping restaurants and pedestrians at crosswalks.''

''At that speed, it's absolutely reckless.''

Nick's arrest came hours after Bobbi Kristina lost control of her Chevy Camaro when leaving her apartment complex and drove down an embankment before coming to a stop on a local park trail.

She was cited by police for ''failure to maintain lane''.

This is Bobbi's third crash in recent months. Earlier this month she accidentally struck Nick's Camaro with her own vehicle in the parking garage of the apartment complex, causing severe damage to the front of his sports car.

Bobbi had followed Nick back to their apartment in her own Camaro and as she tried to back into the parking space next to his, she struck his vehicle.

Just weeks earlier Bobbi Kristina, 19 and 22-year-old Nick were involved in another crash that damaged his car.

The couple had been arguing at the time of the collision - which destroyed the entire front end of the vehicle - and Nick's Camaro was the only car involved. No one was injured.

After the accident, the car was left without a front bumper and right front tire, and the airbags were deployed, but it somehow got back to the former couple's home.

Fans rushed out to pick up Unapologetic last week (beg19Nov12) and sent the new release to number one on the Billboard 200 countdown with 238,000 sales.

The album is the prolific R&B star's seventh since her 2005 debut.

The feat means the Bajan beauty reigns as the queen of both the album and singles chart in America - her hit Diamonds has scored a second week at number one on the Hot 100.

She becomes the second artist this year to land number ones on both main Billboard charts this year (12) - Adele managed the feat over three weeks in February (12) with the hit album 21 and her song Set Fire to the Rain.

Rihanna celebrated her album success early, on Tuesday night (27Nov12), by tweeting the big news to fans.

She wrote, "Wait!!!!! What the F**K?!!!! #Unapologetic just debuted at #1 in America!!!!! My first number 1 album there!!! Thank you Navy (fans), u deserve it... I'm legit crying like a p**sy right now!!"

Steven Tyler Apologises To Nicki Minaj Over Idol Fuss

Rocker Steven Tyler has issued a public apology to Nicki Minaj after the rapper accused him of making a racist comment about her judging abilities as a new panellist on reality show American Idol.

The Aerosmith frontman, who stepped down as a judge on the show earlier this year (12), sparked a Twitter.com feud with Minaj earlier this week (26Nov12) when he suggested the Starships hitmaker would not be able to spot the next great artist if he showed up on stage in front of her.

He tweeted, "If it was Bob Dylan, Nicki Minaj would have had him sent to the cornfield. Whereas, if it was Bob Dylan with us, we would have brought the best of him out."

Minaj, who joined fellow new additions Mariah Carey and Keith Urban on the judging panel when Tyler and Jennifer Lopez quit the show this summer (12), promptly fired back at the ageing rocker's criticisms.

She raged, "Steven Tyler said I would have sent Bob Dylan to a cornfield??? Steven, you haven't seen me judge one single solitary contestant yet! You assume that I wouldn't have liked Bob Dylan??? Why? Black? Rapper? What? Go f**k yourself and worry about yourself babe.

"I understand you really wanted to keep your job, but take that up with the producers. I haven't done anything to you. That's a racist comment."

Tyler insists his comments have been misconstrued - because he never intended to insult Minaj.

During an appearance on Canadian entertainment show eTalk on Tuesday (27Nov12), he said, "I apologise if it was taken wrong, Nicki. But I am the farthest from (being a racist). I am the last thing on this planet as far as being a racist."

He added, "I don't know where she got that out of me saying I'm not sure how she would've judged Bob Dylan. Maybe I spoke out of turn, but a racist I'm not, Nicki."

Lindsay Lohan Slapped With New Charges Over Los Angeles Car Crash

Lindsay Lohan's legal troubles are continuing to mount - the actress has been slapped with four charges relating to a Los Angeles car crash back in June (12).

The Mean Girls star was on her way to work on the set of her Elizabeth Taylor Tv biopic, Liz & DICk, when her hired Porsche collided with a truck on the Pacific Coast Highway, totalling the sports vehicle.

She escaped with only minor injuries and subsequently blamed a mechanical fault with her brakes for the accident, after allegedly telling police her assistant had been the one driving at the time of the incident.

Lohan is now facing more jail time - on Thursday (29Nov12), the Santa Monica City Attorney charged the actress with four crimes, including giving false information to a police officer, obstructing or resisting a police officer in the performance of his duty and reckless driving.

According to Tmz.com, the troubled star will be arraigned when she returns to Los Angeles from New York. A judge is expected to revoke her probation related to her 2011 necklace theft conviction.

Thursday started out as a really bad day for Lohan - the 26 year old was arrested in the early hours amid allegations she punched Tiffany Eve Mitchell during an altercation in a Big Apple nightclub. She was booked on a third-degree misdemeanour assault charge and has since been released from custody and ordered to attend a court hearing on 11 January (13).

It was the latest incident in a drama-filled year for Lohan - she was arrested in September (12) when a pedestrian claimed she hit him with her car, and she suffered another legal incident at a Manhattan hotel days later when she accused a man of assaulting her.

The hit-and-run case against Lohan was dropped due to insufficient evidence, and charges against her alleged hotel attacker were also dismissed.

Lohan is on probation from last year's (11) jewellery theft until May, 2014.

Jude Law not a 'young pretty thing' anymore

'Anna Karenina' actor Jude Law is glad he has moved away from heartthrob roles and is now not considered a ''young pretty thing''.

Jude Law is happy to not be a ''young pretty thing'' anymore.

The 39-year-old actor made his name in a string of heartthrob roles, including lead parts in 'Alfie', 'Sleuth' and 'The Holiday', but he took on a different part for him in 'Anna Karenina' - in which he plays Keira Knightley's ageing husband.

But rather than worry about his advancing years, Jude is relieved to have reached a level of maturity which is opening up new artistic opportunities for him.

In an interview with T magazine - the New York Times Style supplement - he said: ''In a weird way, it's kind of a relief to think, 'Oh, I know I'm not that young sort of pretty thing anymore.'

The 'Sherlock Holmes' star - father to Rafferty, 16, Iris, 12, and Rudy, 10, with ex-wife Sadie Frost and Sophia, three, with model Samantha Burke - now even thinks of himself as a heartthrob in the past tense.

He said: ''It's quite nice talking about what it was like to be the young pretty thing, rather than being it.''

Jude plays balding Alexei Karenin in Oscar-tipped 'Anna Karenina' opposite Keira, 27, as his wife who embarks on a scandalous affair with Count Vronsky, played by the considerably younger Aaron Johnson, 22.

Jude even volunteered to cut his hair for role so it would look completely realistic, much to the surprise of co-star Keira.

She said: ''I was surprised when he chose to actually cut his hair that way and not just wear a wig.''

Kourtney Kardashian got to touch a baby alligator at the Miami Museum of Science.

The reality TV star and her friend, 'The Real Housewives of Miami' star Larsa Pippen, took their children to the museum on a day out recently, and she was impressed by the facilities and the up close encounters she could have with the animals.

She wrote on her blog: ''Larsa and I took the kids to the Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium. I loved how clean, quiet, calm and cool this museum was! I highly recommend it.

''It was very modern and was very different than other museums I have been to.

''They had a baby alligator that we got to see up close and touch, little baby otters that were swimming, turtles, lots of space items, geckos and lots more. My favourite part was the astronaut ice cream that I stocked up on.''

While Kourtney, 33, was accompanied to the museum by her two-year-old son, Mason, her partner Scott Disick and their four-month-old daughter Penelope were not present.

However, the whole family were spotted at the beach a day or so later, with Scott sporting a strange fashion accessory, an eye patch.

Kourtney is currently in Miami filming the next season of her reality TV show 'Kourtney and Kim take Miami' with her sister.

'Boy Meets World' Evolution, Who's returning for 'Girl Meets World'?

Anyone that grew up in the '90s has been avidly following the developments of the Boy Meets World spin off series, 'Girl Meets World'. The premise is the return of Cory and Topanga with the added addition of their teenage daughter. The final series of Boy Meets World ended with their wedding and having felt they'd pushed the story as far as it could go for that time, after seven years, they chose to end on a high. Thirteen years on and the couple are returning, now with a daughter whose own escapades we'll be following when it returns in February next year.

As exciting as this is, we're all a little apprehensive as to whom will be returning from the old series. Obviously both Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga, and Ben Savage, who played Cory, will be back and they're pretty pivotal to the series. However, Rider Strong who played Shawn has said that, for now, he's not involved. In a statement for Entertainment Weekly he explained both his relationship with the show and whether he's returning for the spin off. "Boy Meets World was a defining aspect of my life, and I cherish those seven years. It was never just a job - on a personal level, many of my best memories and friendships were formed because of it," he said. "So I am extremely happy for Ben and Danielle to be able to continue the story. At this point, I have no official involvement in Girl Meets World... I think it should be it's own show. It will be about Cory and Topanga, their daughter, and a new set of characters. It's the next generation. And I, for one, can't wait to see it evolve."

The theme of evolution was prevalent in Danielle Fishel's statement as well. "It will have familiar faces, familiar themes, and familiar messages.  It will also have new faces, new themes, and new messages... We started at the same place with BMW but we evolved and we evolved quickly.  For those of you who knew and loved BMW, please allow this show to evolve as well. Stick with us. Give us a chance." We will Danielle, we will. As yet there have been no word in regard to anyone else returning, although there have been some hints that there'll be a few appearances in the future there is no concrete word either way.

Chris Brown is still learning about love

Chris Brown insists perceptions of him as a ''player'' are far from true but he still has a lot to learn about relationships

Chris Brown in still ''learning'' about love.

The 'Yeah 3x' hitmaker - who recently split from girlfriend Karrueche Tran amid speculation he had reunited with former lover Rihanna - insists his reputation as a ''player'' is inaccurate and he still has a lot to understand about relationships.

Chris - who split from Rihanna after he assaulted her in February 2009 - told the December/January issue of XXL magazine: ''One thing people often want me to talk about is my public love life.

''When it comes to my love life, the perception seems as though I am a player. But that's not true ... Love is something I am still learning. It's just an obstacle that I haven't yet mastered. I think that's my biggest hurdle in life.''

Last week, Chris deleted his twitter account following a furious row with comedian Jenny Johnson, but in the interview he declared his new-found ''maturity'' that saw him make a decision not to use social media to get into squabbles.

Speaking before he deleted his account, he said: ''I haven't been as mature and thought out in the past, so, me growing now, it's showing my progression.

''I used to use my twitter account to vent, but now I mostly use it for marketing and promotions. Even if the media asks me something, if it's cool then it's, 'What's up?' But if it's anything that's too negative, I don't care to respond.

''In the beginning, I used to be hot. I'm normal. I'm human, so if anybody says something that's a lie, I'm numb to it. I've smartened up.''

Meanwhile, Rihanna has posted a photograph of herself embracing Chris - who she has been spending time with in Europe while he is on tour - on her Instagram account.

Rihanna wrote alongside the photos, ''I dont wanna leave!!! Killed it tonight baby!!! (sic)''

Jazz great Louis Armstrong's love letters to his mistress and secret lovechild are among the items from the musician's archive that will go under the hammer at an auction in Los Angeles in December (12).

Profiles in History boss Joe Maddalena recently announced Armstrong's personal letters would be up for grabs at the Drama, Action, Romance - The Hollywood Auction on 15 and 16 December, alongside correspondence from John Lennon, Cole Porter and composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and now it's clear the What a Wonderful World hitmaker's items are a treasure trove of secret notes.

A spokesperson for the auction house says, "They are dated from 1946 to 1968. The collection includes personal letters and postcards, written to Lucille 'Sweets' Preston and Sharon, Armstrong's only biological child.

"Armstrong was friends with Preston and her husband, entertainer Luther 'Slim' Preston, who passed away in 1950. Soon after, Armstrong and Lucille began a relationship and their daughter Sharon was born in 1954. The relationship continued until Armstrong's death in 1971. Armstrong's wife, also named Lucille, never publicly acknowledged Sharon's existence.

"There are handwritten letters totalling 27 pages, typed and signed letters totalling 10 pages, handwritten postcards and a single photograph signed 'Satchmo' and 'Louis Armstrong' inscribed to 'Mother Sweets Baby Sharon To My Darlings whom I Love.'"

The items going under the hammer also include an original private audio reel, featuring a recording from 1959 when Armstrong was in Berlin, Germany. On the tape, Armstrong sings Uncle Satchmo's Lullaby with 12-year-old German singer Gabriele.

The lot is estimated at $60,000 (£37,500) to $80,000 (£50,000).

Hollywood And Religion: Or, How Angus T. Jones Became A Laughing Stock

When Angus T. Jones recorded his interview with Christopher Hudson, the leader of the Forerunner Chronicles Christian group, he may well not have expected the reaction that he got. The star of the Two and a Half Men sitcom denounced the show as “filth” and urged viewers to stop watching it. Presumably not quite the marketing plan that the show’s executives had in mind (though as we know, these bouts of ‘technically bad’ publicity have a habit of working in your favour) but Angus was keen to share all that he had learned since turning to religion.

In the interview clip, Angus speaks to Hudson as though he is some form of demi-god and looks thrilled to even be in the same room as him, reaching out to touch him as though he can’t believe he’s real. As he very publicly looked a very generous gift horse in the mouth (He earns a reported $350,000 per episode. Yes, per episode), the world winced and cowered away, sniggering. Within hours of the video clip hitting the internet, it had gone viral and the 19 year-old had quickly become a laughing stock.

What exactly was Jones’ biggest crime though? Dissing his employers? Undermining the very thing that gave him the wealth and privilege that he’s able to enjoy? Or was it all the nutty, slightly alarming religious stuff that he was spouting for the majority of the interview? If he’d just said “Two and a Half Men is cr*p,” would we have cared quite as much? Would the story have run quite as far and quite as wide as it did? If there wasn’t that cringe-worthy explanation of why he went on the hunt for a church with a “black gospel theme,” would this all have mattered so much? If he hadn’t starting aligning light entertainment with the devil, because of his newfound religious beliefs? Of course not.

Watch Angus T. Jones' interview

Through this Angus T. Jones debacle, we have learned that when it comes to matters of religion in Hollywood and the acting profession, you really are best off cracking a smile and keeping your beliefs to yourself. We’re not sure that anything good ever came of mixing religion and a life in front of the camera. Angus isn’t the first to have ostracised himself in the acting world, after finding religion, or deciding to share his views with the world.

Let’s take a look at Mel Gibson, for example. He’s a Catholic. He was raised a Catholic. He married a woman who is a devout follower of the Church of England. That’s a pretty traditional starting point, right? Not anywhere near as extreme and cult-ish as the Forerunner Chronicles, right? Wrong. Mel Gibson has been kicking up religious dust for years. If he’s not making anti-semitic remarks, he’s making anti-Semitic movies, channelling his beliefs through his film and making people mad whilst he’s at it.

Remember The Passion of the Christ? Gibson got the Christian world into a furore with that one, with many arguing that it represented a very selective reading of the Gospels. Oh and remember that time he decided to do an interview with Good Morning America and explain away his drunken anti-Jewish comments when he got arrested for DUI? When asked if he thought the words “the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world” were anti-Semitic words, his answer, bafflingly, was “no, I don’t think so.”

Watch some of Mel Gibson's Good Morning America interview, 2006

Then, earlier this year, Gibson suffered a public shaming episode, when he fell out with the screenwriter Joe Eszterhas, who accused Gibson of shelving his script for a movie about the Jewish hero Judah Maccabee “because you hate Jews.” Which begs the question ‘why on earth was Mel Gibson working on the movie in the first place,’ but the evidence stacked against him really didn’t put the guy in a good light.

The lesson that Hollywood should be starting to learn is that you keep your mouth shut and you play your cards very close to your chest. Or you’ll become a laughing stock. Though frankly it’s still possible to become a laughing stock, even if you have the entire pack of playing cards strapped so tightly to your chest that it’s restricting your regular breathing patterns. Take Tom Cruise, for example. Do you remember when Tom Cruise was one of the most highly-respected actors in Hollywood? Rather than simply one of the highest paid? Before he found Scientology? Or Scientology found him? Remember when we used to think of Tom Cruise as anything other than a closet homosexual (ok, so we have the South Park “Tom Cruise, get out of the closet” skit to thank for that one) jumping up and down on Oprah’s sofa, making an eye-boggling fool of himself? And whilst we’re on the matter of well-known Scientologists, do you remember when we thought of John Travolta as anything other than a closet homosexual…. etc etc, etc…? Neither of them go around screaming wildly about their religion. But both are widely regarded as being a little bit nuts because of it.

Just in case you DIDN'T think Tom Cruise was a laughing stock... proof that he really is:

Budding actors, let this be a warning to you. If you have an inkling that your religious beliefs maybe any more extreme than your general “love thy neighbour, do to others as you would have done unto thyself” kinda stuff, then you probably need to keep a tight reign on your opinions. No matter how rich, or powerful, or heterosexual you may be. Unless you’re a confident atheist, like Angelina Jolie. Or Bruce Willis. Or John Malkovich. The cool gang.

A Week in Movies Feat: The Hobbit, Helena Bonham Carter, Rise of the Guardians, Ray Liotta, Ian McKellen, Jack the Giant Slayer and More!

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

A specially painted Air New Zealand plane jetted around the world this week, collecting cast and crew to attend the world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on Wednesday. Wellington was renamed "The Middle of Middle-Earth" for the day, and the red carpet event was attended by Cate Blanchett, Martin Freeman, franchise guru Peter Jackson and more than 100,000 fans.

Great Expectations

Meanwhile in cinemas, British audiences will be watching Helena Bonham Carter in a new version of Dickens' Great Expectations, the animated epic Rise of the Guardians, and Ben Wheatley's acclaimed festival hit Sightseers, a mash-up of comedy, romance, travelogue and grisly murder.

Killing Them Softly

Speaking of which, Americans are finally getting a chance to see Brad Pitt in the noir thriller Killing Them Softly, which costar Ray Liotta says taught him a few things about violence.

News-wise, it's been a week for superhero movie rumours, as the internet lit up with stories that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was lined up to play Batman in the Justice League movie currently in pre-production. Of course, this was swiftly denied. Henry Cavill may also appear in his role as Superman from next summer's Man of Steel.

There was even more excitement with the news that Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman will reunite with director Bryan Singer for the next X-men movie, Days of Future Past. The film again stars Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy as the younger Magneto and Professor X, and a time-travel plot allows them to meet up with their older selves.

Jack The Giant Killer

Before that, Singer's next film opens this spring: Jack the Giant Slayer is a remake of the 1960s B-movie retelling of the Jack and the beanstalk fairy tale. And a new trailer reveals that this version is more of a big effects-heavy action-comedy blockbuster, starring Nicholas Hoult, Ewan McGregor and Stanley Tucci.

In Italy, filming is underway on Grace of Monaco, a long-awaited biopic starring Nicole Kidman as Hollywood actress turned European princess Grace Kelly. Paparazzi caught her arrival at a filming location, where crowds of fans were waiting to glimpse the star.

And finally, Bridesmaids scene-stealer Melissa McCarthy reteams with director Paul Feig for The Heat, a raucous action comedy costarring Sandra Bullock. The new trailer makes it look very, very silly.

Mary J. Blige owes bank 2.2m?

Mary J. Blige and her husband Martin Isaacs have been accused of defaulting on a $2.2 million bank loan.

Mary J. Blige reportedly owes $2.2 million.

The 41-year-old singer and her husband, Martin Isaacs have been accused of defaulting on a huge loan from Manhattan's Signature Bank, according to a complaint filed New York State Supreme Court on Wednesday (28.11.12).

The financial institution is seeking the full loan amount, which was taken out in October 2011 and due to be paid back by July 2012, along with $58,000 in interest.

The 'Family Affair' singer's production company, Mary Jane Productions Inc, was also named in the lawsuit.

This is the latest financial woe for Mary after her charity, The Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now Inc, was accused earlier this year of mishandling funds and failing to pay back a loan.

Speaking about the allegations, Mary said: ''The lives of young women are at stake. I feel what they feel. I don't want them to suffer. I promised them something and I'm gonna deliver. Period.

''As soon as I was informed of the issues at FFAWN, I immediately called my advisors and lawyers to get to the bottom of what was happening. As Founder and CEO of FFAWN, I am ultimately responsible for anything that goes wrong. The problem is that I didn't have the right people in the right places doing the right things. This should have never been allowed to happen, but it did and now we are fixing it. The good news is that we have been in touch with the MJB Center in Yonkers and the scholarship program, and both are in good shape.''

Bobbi Kristina's Week: Bad Luck or Lucky Escapes?

Bobbie Kristina has had a pretty bad year by all accounts. Her mum died early in 2012, and since then she's barely left the spotlight due to her reality TV show The Houstons: On Our Own, and her controversial relationship with her step brother, Nick Gordon. This week has continued the bad luck for Whitney Houston's daughter as her engagement to Nick has been broken off and she's suffered a horrific car accident.

According to the Hollywood Gossip, Nick Gordon tweeted "@REALbkBrown and I are not engaged or dating. Just close like we have always been." He has since deactivated his Twitter account so we can't confirm that's the truth, but Bobbi's own tweets yesterday, in stark contrast to last week, suggest it's the truth.

On Thursday (22nd Nov), Thanksgiving, she said:

Just 5 days later, yesterday (27th Nov), her tune had changed:

TMZ also reported about her car crash of which the photos look pretty bad. According to the report it seems she simply lost control of her car not far from the house, and landed to car down an embankment. However, when the authorities arrived on the scene Bobbi was just standing on the road, completely unscathed.

Although to all intents and purposes it seems as though Bobbi's week has been pretty bad, but we'd like to put it down to lucky escapes. Her relationship with Nick Gordon seemed doomed from the start so the marriage could have been a nightmare, and likewise, by the state of the car mini-Houston got away very lightly. We wish her a swift recovery from heartbreak and hope the carcrash hasn't shaken her up too much.

Chuck Lorre Blamed for Bizarre Angus T. Jones Testimony

Charlie Sheen notoriously had a pretty difficult time a couple of years ago which eventually lead to being sacked from Two and a Half Men, on which he played a character also named Charlie. Now, another star of the show, Angus T. Jones, who plays Charlie's nephew, is also going through a tough time, which has come to a head in a mass of criticism after his testimony for the Forerunner Chronicles was released online. The video included him describing the show as 'filth' and has resulted in many people thinking he's having some kind of meltdown.

Sheen is one of the people both standing up for Jones, but also acknowledging that he's not exactly in his right mind right now. Speaking to TMZ, he said, "Obviously, not having been there for some time, the Angus T. Jones that I knew and still love is not the same guy I saw on YouTube yesterday." Adding, "I dare anyone to spend ten years in the laugh-track that is Chuck Lorre's hive of oppression and not suffer some form of an emotional tsunami."

In a statement, also released to TMZ, Jones made something of an apology, saying: "I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked and over the past ten years who have become an extension of my family."

Plus, despite Sheen's comments about Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre, Jones added "Chuck Lorre... many others... are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date. I thank them for the opportunity they have given me..."

Jones' statement is very carefully written and we suspect that someone else wrote it on his behalf. Anyway, now we're intrigued about what Sheen meant about Lorre's 'hive of oppression'. Once all this blows over, perhaps Sheen would care to clarify.

''I'm not a monster, I'm just a man who has to pee. Maybe the flight attendant was having a nervous breakdown, I don't understand why she blocked the door. I say, 'Don't worry, I will clean it after!'''

Keith Richards annoyed Mick with solo

The Rolling Stones Keith Richards once played a huge guitar solo in order to annoy Sir Mick Jagger, when they toured Europe in 1982.

Keith Richards once played a huge guitar solo to annoy Sir Mick Jagger.

The Rolling Stones bandmates' differing ideas about the group's direction led to friction between them in the 1980s, and at one concert Keith took his frustration out by taking a huge solo spot, leaving the singer with nothing to do.

Photographer Denis O'Regan, who photographed the band on their European tour of 1982, told BANG Showbiz: ''You don't see them arguing but you see if one is clearly p***ed off with the other. Keith did get very angry at one point and decided to show how displeased he was about something by, when it came time to play his solo, going out on one of the catwalks which go out into the audience, and doing the longest solo of the tour.

''Meanwhile Mick had nothing to do except try and hold the audience and I think at that Keith realised it made it uneasy for him and that's how he vented it.''

Denis added the differences between Keith and Mick's personalities was also apparent on the tour.

He added: ''Mick is intriguing. I suppose, with Keith, its more what you see is what you get. When Keith gets annoyed you know, if Mick gets annoyed you don't know.

''With Mick, if something upsets him he has this philosophy of 'never complain, never explain'. He doesn't really get involved in messy decisions, whereas Keith would lose his rag.''

Talking to The 2013 Sundance Merchandise Designer, Todd Oldham

The Sundance Film Festival; one of the largest independent film festivals is due to hit Utah in January, 2013. Founded in Salt Lake City in 1978, there is a certain reverence attached to the laurel of 'Sundance Film Festival Winner' when you watch a new trailer.

Given the popularity of the festival, it's no surprise that a number of creative minds are behind myriad aspects of curating and design, and that extends to the merchandise, which is a vital aspect of any independents organisation's financial future.

The designer of 2013's merch, Todd Oldam, has been talking to Paste Magazine about his history of design, and the undertaking of such a prestigious project. "Design has always been something of great interest to me since I was very young because my parents are very talented artists and builders and spend a lot of time making sure all four of us-their children--knew how to do everything that they knew how to do," Oldam explains. "So I'm very grateful that we spent time learning how to wire lamps, rebuilding sinks, those kinds of things along with all the arts and crafts we learned."

A rumour that Todd had to borrow $100 to get his design career is a romantic one, and thankfully, it's (kind of) true! "It was $50 actually," he says. "At the time, I could never find what I wanted, but I found some thermal underwear that was really terrific. But it was in white and I didn't want to work in white. So, my grandmother had found a drugstore that was going out of business and bought all the dye that they had. So I was able to make the clothes and dye them the colors I wanted. It was a great start, and it was for a collection that Neiman Marcus eventually bought. So. Neiman Marcus was one of my first big customers and it kind of took off from there."

Todd's full line will be available from December 7th ahead of the January festival, and if you're reading this Sundance guys, we love the sweatshirt!

David Beckham Close To Buying U.s. Team

Soccer stud and model David Beckham is close to buying a U.S. team.

The international sports superstar announced last week (20Nov12) he will be leaving U.S. club Los Angeles Galaxy in December (12), but insisted he and his wife Victoria had no plans of moving their family away from California, where they have lived since he signed on for the current Mls champions six years ago.

And now it appears Beckham will be turning to ownership when he hangs up his boots - he has revealed plans to take over one of the teams he has played against in recent years.

During an appearance on Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest's breakfast show on Thursday (29Nov12), the sports star said, "That (taking over a club) will obviously come into play now. It only came into play once I finished playing here.

"I'm excited about that. My commitment when I came here six years ago was to take this league to another level, and my commitment stays the same. I might not be playing here but I will become a owner of a franchise and it's something that I'm excited about.

"We're close to a decision on that, but I can't say it right now."

But there's is one rumour Beckham can dismiss - he won't be taking on a Tv chat show.

He adds, "The talk show is not true. Not that I know of... There's a lot of rumours about where I'm going to play, what we're going to do, where we're going to live. There has always been. We actually haven't made up our minds about where we are going to end up."

And there's another business plan afoot for when Beckham turns his back on playing soccer for the Galaxy - he hopes to partner up with best pal and top chef Gordon Ramsay on a project: "We've got something in the pipeline... We're awfully good friends, and we're excited about a project we are putting together!"

He also has a slate of Tv appearances in the pipeline - Beckham has promised former Friends star Matthew Perry he'll appear on his sitcom Go On.

Treasure Trove Of Louis Armstrong Letters To Mistress And Secret Daughter To Be Sold

Kourtney Kardashian stroked an alligator

Kourtney Kardashian got to touch a baby alligator during a day trip with her son Mason to the Miami Museum of Science.

After the accident, the car was left without a front bumper and right front tire, and the airbags were deployed, but it somehow got back to the former couple's home.

Ben Affleck named Entertainer of the Year

Actor-and-director Ben Affleck receives top honour as Entertainment Weekly's Entertainer of the Year after critical success with latest film 'Argo'.

Ben Affleck has been named Entertainer of the Year by Entertainment Weekly.

The actor-and-director succeeds 'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe, who received the honour last year, and was bestowed with the accolade as he has finally reached the ''pinnacle'' of his career.

Appearing on US morning show 'Good Morning America', Entertainment Weekly editor Jess Cagle explained: ''We've watched him grow up. He has really reached his pinnacle.''

The 40-year-old 'Daredevil' star - who burst onto the acting scene 15 years ago in 'Good Will Hunting' - is delighted with the honour, particularly because he wants to make his family, wife Jennifer Garner, daughters Violet, six, and Seraphina, three, and nine-month-old Samuel, proud.

Ben told Entertainment Weekly: ''Being at a place in my life and my career where I know what I'm trying to do, it's different than being 26. When you're younger and have the early success that I had - it sounds like the worst Hallmark cliche - but I didn't have anyone to share it with.

''I don't mean I wanted someone to sit by the fire with. But when you have a family and children, you kind of see yourself reflected in them. I want to make the kinds of movies that my kids are proud of. I have higher standards, in a way, for them.''

Fellow Hollywood star George Clooney, 51, praised Ben for re-emerging on the Hollywood A-list after several rocky years, which included starring in numerous widely panned films and a high profile engagement to singer-and-actress Jennifer Lopez, 43, that was eventually called off.

George said: ''Hollywood loves a comeback, and he's an unbelievable comeback kid.''

Ben has transitioned from in front of the screen to behind it, helming critically-acclaimed films such as 'Gone Baby Gone', 'The Town' and this year's 'Argo', which is being tipped for Oscar contention.

Bobbi Kristina Brown calls off engagement

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Brown have called off their engagement.

Bobbi Kristina Brown has split from her 'adopted' brother Nick Gordon

The aspiring actress - the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston - announced her engagement last month in a preview from her upcoming reality show 'Houstons: On Our Own', but the couple have now called off their relationship.

Nck, 22, tweeted on November 18: ''@REALbkBrown and I are not engaged or dating. Just close like we have always been.''

Bobbi Kristina later wrote: ''Spending time together, sunday night football & Playing with our @nickgordon new 3DS's! Soooooo... Goodbye !!(:(:(: (sic)''

The following week she also posted a number of cryptic tweets insisting she is all alone.

She wrote: ''I'm leaving , this this good ole town and driving to the send of the world . Maybe it's beautiful there (: Xxxo. Who do I trust in this world? Pfft well that's easy beezie, #Myself, No1 will kno's me like ME&They'd rather not take thtchance2knoME, &2me.

Nick was informally adopted by Whitney when he was 12 and the pair were raised as brother and sister. They were ''always close'' growing up but their relationship changed as they got older and they sought comfort in each other after Whitney's death in February and started living like a couple in Atlanta.

The reality series - which follows the pair and other family members, Whitney's brother Gary, sister-in-law (and the singer's former manager) Patricia Houston and Bobbi's grandmother Cissy Houston - is expected to detail their break up.

One of the executive producers on the show replied to Nick's tweet, writing: ''@nickgordon @realbkbrown watch to see how it all unfolds on #TheHoustons on @lifetimetv (sic).''

Brad Pitt accepts mocking over ad

Brad Pitt has called the Chanel No.5 spoofs ''fair play'' and admits that he has been ''blissfully protected'' from watching them while he has been filming.

Brad Pitt thinks spoofs of his Chanel No. 5 advert are ''fair play''.

The 'Moneyball' actor stars in the fashion house's latest campaign for their iconic perfume and the clips have been the subject to much ridicule, including an infamous 'Saturday Night Live' skit which saw a lookalike ask directors whether there is a script for him to read from instead of sounding ''insane'' talking to himself.

However, Brad admits he is ''blissfully'' unaware off the parody videos online and isn't bothered about the mocking.

He said: ''I've been overseas, so I've been blissfully protected. I haven't [seen the parodies], but I say absolutely fair play, fair play.''

Brad, 48, was the first male star to head the campaign - taking over from French actress Audrey Tatou - and is pleased with the work Chanel put into the final product.

He added to 'Access Hollywood': ''I kind of liked it ... I respect what they do. They do some really quality things.''

For his latest role in Andrew Hominik's film 'Killing Them Softly', where he plays enforcer Jackie Cogan, he took up smoking and despite having previously quit he found it ''great'' to puff away at a cigarette again.

He mused: ''[I've quit] several times, I'm really good at it. It's great, it's great.''

He knows he won't carry on though as he doesn't want to affect his fiancee Angelina Jolie and their children Maddox, 11, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

He explained: ''But you have to know that you're going to have to quit on the other end and that that ugly day is coming, so you over enjoy it I guess.

''I'm very conscious of health now and I want to be around for my kids, I don't have that drive anymore. I don't crave it all.''

Can’t Kick The Toy-Boy Bug? Is Demi Moore Dating Vito Schnabel, 26?

What do you do when your much younger husband cheats on you, leaves you and then starts dating Mila Kunis?

Well… duh! You go get an even younger boyfriend, of course! Preferably one that lives an enviable lifestyle as an art dealer. Cate Blanchett leads the stars at The Hobbit premiere

Cate Blanchett and her son Roman led the stars at 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' premiere in New Zealand today (28.11.12), where the red carpet in Wellington was surrounded by nearly 10,000 fans.

Cate Blanchett led the stars at 'The Hobbit: Unexpected Journey' world premiere today (28.11.12) in Wellington, New Zealand.

The blonde actress - who plays enchantress Galadriel in the fantasy franchise - was joined by her eight-year-old son Roman on a red carpet transformed into make-believe world Middle Earth and were greeted by nearly 100,000 fans who gathered to get a glimpse at their favourite characters.

Elijah Wood, 31, took the time to reminisce about how the role of hobbit Frodo Baggins catapulted him to stardom in the first 'Lord Of The Rings' film in 2001.

He said: ''This is echoing the past for me.''

Other cast members including Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis, Richard Armitage and Hugo Weaving also attended, while Sir Ian McKellen, who plays wizard Gandalf, thanked fans for their enthusiasm via a video message as he was unable to fly out.

Cate, 41, wasn't the only guest joined by their offspring as director Sir Peter Jackson was accompanied by his 16-year-old daughter Katie as he explained his reasoning behind holding the first screening where the filming took place.

He told reporters: ''It's the home crowd isn't it? You can't do better. I do know that if I didn't have a movie here for the premiere, I'd be in awful trouble. I'd be in the poo, as we say.

''This is an incredible experience because you spend so long shooting a movie where you're just focusing on the film and you want to keep everybody out.

''And then suddenly one day the film's finished and the next morning you wake up and there's 100,000 people coming to celebrate. It sort of flips your head upside down.''

'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' tells the first part of Tolkien's famous book and follows hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Freeman) on his journey to reclaim the lost Kingdom of Erebor.

Gabriel Aubry wants criminal charges against Martinez

Following a brawl between Gabriel Aubry and Olivier Martinez, the Canadian model wants criminal charges brought against the French actor.

Gabriel Aubry wants criminal charges brought against Olivier Martinez.

The Canadian model - the father of Halle Berry's four-year-old child Nahla - was involved in a vicious altercation with the French actor, who is engaged to the brunette actress, on Thanksgiving (22.11.12) when he was dropping his daughter back to her mother's house - but he claims to have done ''absolutely nothing'' to ''provoke'' Olivier.

A source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com: ''Gabe wants criminal charges brought against Olivier for beating the living daylights out of him on Thanksgiving.

''Gabe can't believe that he was the one arrested when he says he did absolutely nothing to provoke the attack. If you look at the pictures of Gabe's hands after the fight, there isn't one scratch, nor did he suffer any wounds to his hands, as Olivier did.

''Gabe says he was rendered defenseless because he was knocked to the ground by Olivier's punches. Remember, Olivier's father was a former professional boxer and he has trained for years also.''

According to a sworn court declaration, Gabriel alleges Olivier taunted him the day before Thanksgiving when he took Nahla took a school play, which Halle also attended with the French actor.

Gabriel claims Olivier whispered in his ear in French: ''I wish I could beat the s**t out of you right now.

''You're lucky we're in a school right now. We're going to take Nahla right now and you're not going to follow us.''

The model was arrested for battery after it was claimed he started the vicious fight, but new court documents revealing the extent of Gabriel's injuries allege Olivier, 46, attacked him.

A temporary emergency protection order against the 36-year-old model has now been lifted after he was initially banned from seeing Nahla following the brawl.

Is The Academy Set To Ignore Brad Pitt's Killing Them Softly?

The full release of Brad Pitt's Killing Them Softly has quietly crept up, six months after it premiered to strong reviews at the Cannes Film Festival. The crime-drama reunited The Assassination of Jesse James director Andrew Dominik with Pitt and was originally set for a September 21 release.

The first thing to note is that Killing Them Softly - about an enforcer who is hired to restore order after a mob-protected poker game is robbed - is a Weinstein Company movie. Harvey Weinstein is known for his Oscars game of chess, swapping and changing release dates and masterminding promotional campaigns to give his movies the best possible of chance of winning golden statuettes. Though last year's Margaret Thatcher film The Iron Lady was regarded as a dud by critics, Meryl Streep still managed to walk away with the Best Actress gong, despite Viola Davis' stunning performance in The Help. The power of Weinstein.

Anyway, according to Indiewire.com, Killing Them Softly switched to a November 30 release date for maximum Oscars impact. Weinstein decided that he wanted to roll out Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master closer to his festival premieres. Which is odd, because since making the decision, The Master and Silver Linings Playbook have emerged as the company's biggest Oscars hopes. At best, it looks as though James Gandolfini could snag a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for Killing. Even Lawless seems to have a better chance of winning an Oscar than Dominik's movie.

Currently, Brad Pitt is 100/1 with the bookmakers to win Best Actor, while the movie itself is also 100/1 to win Best Picture. Pretty amazing odds given the Hollywood actor has pretty much been a mainstay in the nominations over the past couple of years. Perhaps his efforts have been targeted at the 2014 ceremony (World War Z, The Counselor), though have the bookmakers grossly underestimated Pitt's performance? The film still holds a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics lauding the thriller. "A good, efficient crime thriller, let down by clunky social commentary but lifted by excellent performances, including perhaps Brad Pitt's recent best," said Empire Magazine. "Killing Them Softly has the rigor and poise of the great American crime pictures of the 1970s," said Robbie Collin of The Telegraph.

So there you have it. Brad Pitt 100/1 to win Best Actor for his critically acclaimed Harvey Weinstein movie. Well we never.

Larry Hagman Also Had Leukaemia

Late actor Larry Hagman was not only battling throat cancer at the end of his life - he had been diagnosed with leukaemia.

The star, best known for playing scheming oil baron J.R. Ewing on hit Tv drama Dallas, passed away at a hospital in Texas last week (23Nov12), aged 81.

It was widely reported the veteran died from complications with stage two throat cancer, but now his pal, award-winning writer Harry Hurt Iii, reveals Hagman actually succumbed to the blood cell disease. He was reportedly diagnosed in July (12).

He tells the National Enquirer, "I had no idea Larry was so seriously ill until his son Preston called me and said, 'Harry, I just wanted to let you know that Dad died, and I didn't want you to read it in the papers.' Preston said, 'Dad had tongue cancer, but in the end he died from leukaemia.' I was just blown away."

The actor was surrounded by his family and friends when he took his last breath, but Hurt reveals Hagman never got the chance to say goodbye to his wife of 58 years, Maj - because she has Alzheimer's disease and lives in a California assisted living facility.

He continues, "In one of our final conversations, I asked Larry about Maj. Larry believed Maj was his soulmate, and watching her decline broke his heart. Because of the disease, he never got the chance to say goodbye to her."
